Just got this and was told AFTER that there is a 2nd edition coming out in April 2024. So, I'd hold off till then as there is no mention of getting a free FAQ/Errata of the updates in 2nd ed for those that bought 1st ed.

Just discovered this (I'm coming from Ambush Alley). Looks GREAT and very simple to get into.
I had 2 questions:
1. Is there a QRS to remind me of things like cover modifiers, suppression, etc.?
2. I saw referenced, but no specific rules (or scenarios) for Co op play (2 fire teams on same side). Are there any rules of thumb for increasing the difficulty of a mission to accomodate a 2nd team, or do you just pull 2 sitreps and basically double everything?

Joining the fb group shortly. Looks amazing!

Very good solo game. One of the best of its kind.

Great game. The simple system is fantastic to setup quick missions.
I've even made some custom sitreps cards to add good and bad situations in my games.
I also made up a hidden tokens system to represent fog of war. Come into line of sight of a token, flip a potential threat card to reveal an enemy, civilians or just case of nerve.

As for making custom characters, I'm still deciding if I should give my team a fixed number of points or roll 2d6 for each one.
I'll start the initiative stat at a basic 11 and lower it using points. That way I don't think that my little guys will end up too powerful.

Great game my new favorite solo! I have made maneuver cards for different scales and enemy mutant giant ant cards for a modern take on Them!

I found this system just the other day and I can't stop playing and watching whatever videos I can find. Excellent system very well done and great fun in our co-op games. I hope to get the print on demand cards someday and will purchase every product that comes with this system. As a WW2 skirmish player, this itched me where I scratched for a REAL modern skirmish minis game.
Mission accomplished Robert Salters!

It won't let me put this as a review so placed on here.
Battlespace should be the ideal game for me, spec ops based, 2x2 playing area, maximum of around 16 figures and most importantly solo! What did I think? Find out in this playthrough and review.

I encounter the same issue like Kai H. reported - only 5 enemy cards and 16 gear cards. Where can I collect the missing stuff - I am no FB user and I do not plan to change this...

I agree completely. If there is to be another enemy card, and I assumed one of them is duplicated for game reinforcement purposes then which one is it? It makes a difference. Same for gear cards, there should be duplicates of eight of them. I wanted to ask the designer if you could have multiples of some gear, so say two guys could carry M67s, tourniquets, or other equipment. Also not on FB so no joy there.

OK, so let's do this for ourselves until we get a ruling from the powers that be.

A second enemy card should be either an Al Wahid fighter or group of Al Wahid fighters. That would be the most likely additional force as the alternatives, leader, sniper or soldier are either too powerful or would only be encountered as individuals anyways.

As for Gear cards I propose the following and the numbers may match the totals stated.

The following are single cards and only one can be taken per scenario;
EOD drone, laser designator, UVA, radio operator, tactical RAM entry tool, translator, team leader and designated marksman. Self obvious as to why only one of each.

The following can be only taken once or twice per scenario (only once per soldier);
machine gunner, medic, M203, or NOD

And the following can be taken as many times (only once per soldier);
tourniquet, M67 frag grenade, M18 smoke grenade or M84 stun grenade.

This assumes...See more

Hi, purchased this just recently. Is that the final breakdown of cards you went with or did you get any more information on which cards need to be duplicated? Did you duplicate just the items you listed in the last paragraph? (M67, frag, tourniquet etc)

The last page of the rulebook indicates that there're 28 Gear Cards and 6 Enemy Cards. But there're only 16 Gear Cards and 5 Enemy Cards in the PDFs. Which is correct?

Hi Kai,
I crossposted our question via youtube and received this reply from the game developer:

The list on the back of the book was for print on demand. There was going to be duplicates of some of the gear cards to make it a total of 28. The sixth enemy card is a blank for you make your own enemy.

The important question is WHICH cards are to be duplicated?

I don't understand how to give a medical aid to a downed soldier ... only the medic can do this???
This action is only present on the medic gear and the rules don't say nothing....
Thank you!

Perform medical aid to a model in base contact (medical
aid removes 1 wound). Yep, only medic can do this.

Off hand I'm pretty sure it's standard card size (3.5" x 2.5")

Hi Damond, I had the same issue on my first read through. Re-read the overview page in the rules. Basically, the enemy doesn't roll to hit you, your solider has to roll equal to or over their threat level to avoid being hit (adding in any modifiers for cover).

Can we get some more information on this game? Dice? Table size?

I was wondering the same. It does say a 2'x2' or 3'x3' table but I don't see any mention of dice.

Hi there! The rules state 2x2, 2x3 or 3x3 for table size. You'll need at least 1D20 and 1D6 to play. Miniature count is pretty low (depending on scenario), 4 models to represent your special forces team and another 10 - 16 for the enemy force (that should probably include 1 leader and 1 sniper model).

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
